Set in the 1990s, RENT follows the lives of poor, struggling artists in New York. As they wrestle with their careers, vices, and the effects of the AIDS epidemic on their community, they make choices that affect their relationships with one another, and define their lives over the span of a single year. RENT is a deeply moving story about love in times of hardship.
