The 2017 staging of Real-Life Fairytales was the first musical that Ateneo Blue Repertory brought outside of the Philippines. It was brought to South Korea to compete in the 11th Daegu International Musical Festival.
It is a series of 5 vignettes about contemporary issues such as mental health, body image, and drug use as examined through the lens of the magical and unusual. These stories talk about the ugly truths that are hidden deep beneath the seemingly perfect surface, aiming to bring awareness to the issues that people find difficult to confront.
